Scaling our mission to tackle ocean plastic pollution

2019 - 2021

eXXpedition Round the World was an all-female sailing voyage and research mission which set out to circumnavigate the globe and sail 38,000 nautical miles on voyages with a crew of multinational, multidisciplinary women. eXXpedition crews explored plastics and toxics in our ocean via four of the five oceanic gyres and travelled through some the densest plastic accumulation zones on our planet. 

Connected by a passion to protect our shared ocean, it enabled over 150 women to experience the challenges we face from single-use plastics while contributing to cutting-edge scientific research and solutions-based thinking.
