Update from Round Britain Crew Member Lynne Braham:
“Yesterday we were just 14 women. None of us knew each other. One or two of us had met once or twice and some of us didn’t know anyone at all.
We were just 14 diverse women, brought together by a single cause, but individual and unique in pretty much every other way.
Today we are a team. We are 3 ‘watches’, we each have a ‘buddy’ and we can winch! We can ease and we can grind… we are in the early stages of being able to sail!
We set sail, my first sail, on the evening tide. We’re all smiling, all looking forward to the challenge, still speaking to each other and the sun is shining. Let’s hope that, when the rain comes, the sun goes down and the sea starts to chop, we can still all smile. Let’s see what the morning brings…”
