eXXpedition CIC is inviting candidates to apply to join the upcoming eXXpedition North Pacific Leg 1 as the Deputy Mission Leader, on a training mission. The purpose of this opportunity is to find and train a suitable person to lead eXXpedition missions in 2019 and beyond.
This is a contractor role. Initially, you will need to be available from 20th June to 17th July 2018. The on-going time and commitment of this role is to be discussed and confirmed after this voyage. Renumeration is dependent on experience.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate that they are:

Knowledgeable on plastic pollution and have a high level of scientific understanding

An organised and methodical person, who could be applied to managing scientific work on board and following protocols

Excellent communicator and educator

Passionate, positive and energetic

Responsible and a practical problem solver

Excellent people / team manager

Customer service skills and experience (for example event management / tour leadership)

Comfortable on boats (professional sailing experience not needed)
- Willingness to spend 3 months or more, at a time, away from home

Knowledgeable and passionate about the work of eXXpedition, representing eXXpedition and being loyal to the organisation.
