João Pessoa to Barbados, via Fernando de Noronha

Leg 19

*** THIS VOYAGE WAS CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19. FOR MORE INFORMATION, PLEASE VISIT HERE ***

Two days after setting sail, we will arrive in the stunning location of Fernando de Noronha. We will step ashore to enjoy the beaches, complete our onshore solutions-focused science research and connect with the local community to discuss the solutions to this issue. We will then set sail towards Barbados in the Caribbean, spending just over two weeks at sea. Whilst at sea we will be able to carry out our scientific research, trawling the surface for microplastics and even analysing some of these samples on board.  We will be able to work together to discuss our findings and suitable solutions to this global issue.

Arriving in Barbados, the most easterly of the Caribbean islands we will step ashore to share our stories of life at sea, and the lessons we have learnt.
