It’s been one year since eXXpedition launched our Virtual Voyages!

The sixth Virtual Voyage took us to Brazil. During Watch 4 our multidisciplinary crew took part in a virtual dialogue with local representatives from Brazil including Daniela Lerario, Brazil Lead at COP26 and Nature Based Solutions Co-lead, Climate Champions, to talk about the local challenges of the global plastics issue.

Meet Sasha Francis, Community Engagement Coordinat

Meet Sasha Francis, Community Engagement Coordinator at Galveston Bay Foundation, eXXpedition Ambassador and Round the World Leg 6 Crew Member.

In her role @gbayfoundation, Sasha goes out into the community to teach them about the work the organisation does, share data about the local ecosystem, discuss what issues it faces and empower people with information and resources to help preserve it. Last year, she started overseeing a marine debris programme. She works with volunteers every month to survey different shorelines and clean up a section of litter.

As part of our Ambassador Spotlight Series we wanted to showcase all her amazing work by telling Sasha'a Supwerpower story.
